Mycotoxins are secondary toxin metabolites, produced by many species of fungus such as Aspergillus, Fusarium, Penicillium, Claviceps, and Alternaria. The presence of mycotoxins in feed and food is an inherent risk. And this is a worldwide crisis. In fact, eliminating mycotoxins from the food chain is very ideal and seems impossible to achieve.
