In addition to microbial destruction in feed, Autoxidation is one of the typical examples of chemical degradation processes that occurs in the feed. Oxidation is a complex chemical process that is a common problem in the feed industry.
The negative effects of Oxidation can be summarized as:
- Breakdown/degradation of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, K, E
- Breakdown/degradation of nutrients and pigments
- Breakdown/degradation of oils and fats
- Loss of palatability
- Producing/ Development of Toxic metabolites
- Decreasing energy value
- Reducing the biological value of the feed
Nutritional deficiencies could occur if this destructive process remains uncontrolled in feedstuff or one of its components. Feeding oxidized feed to animals will have negative effects on animal’s health and performance.
Novinox® is an efficient synergistic combination of selective antioxidants and chelating agents. The main action of used combinations in this product is based on the stop of the initiation phase of the oxidation mechanism to prevent oxidation in the feed and protect the nutrients in the feedstuff.

- Vitamin and Mineral Premixes (For preserving the premix from oxidative processes): To achieve 125 g/ton in the final feed
- Concentrates (5% , 2.5%): 2.5- 5 kg/ton
- Finished feeds (depending on the oil/fat level and product’s required shelf life): 125 g/ton of feed (up to 4% fat)
- Aquatics feeds (Fish, Shrimp): 1- 2kg/ton of feed
- Protein meal (Fish meal, meat meal, and offal): 1- 2 kg/ton
- Pet food: 500 g-1.5 kg/ton of feed
- Fat Powder: 500 g-1.500 kg/ton
- Highly Sensitive Materials: 600 - 900 kg/ton
