Escent® S

A Comprehensive Strategy to Control Mycotoxins and Support Internal Organs

Ingredients used in the feed manufacturing process can be contaminated by mycotoxins, bacterial toxins, and free radicals due to oxidation, which leave a negative effect on the animal’s performance, conversion ratio and product. These destructive agents could lead to severe economic loss for livestock producers. Careful selection of qualified ingredients and the usage of proper additives that cause the improvement of internal organs’ performance, reduction of toxin absorption in the intestinal tract and oxidative stress lead to an insured production of qualified feed.

Escent® S is a well-researched complex of different active ingredients which contains a wide spectrum mycotoxin and enterotoxin control program and free radical inactivatiors, which have been designed to provide bio protection against their destructive effects.

Escent® S takes a multifactorial approach to protect and support against toxin stress in 5 different ways:

  • Immune System Protection

Beta-glucans along with the well-selected plant extracts used in Escent® S improve the immune response and reduces immunosuppression.

  • Reduction of Oxidative Stress

The presence of mycotoxins plays a significant role in lipid peroxidation at cell level. Both synthetic and natural antioxidants avoid further action of free radicals toward intestinal micro-flora, tissues and cells, protecting the natural pathways of biotransformation of mycotoxins.

  • Support of Organ Functioning

Liver and kidneys are crucial organs in detoxification and elimination of toxic principles in blood. Several mycotoxins have a well-known impact on the functioning of these organs. Well-selected plant extracts used in Escent® S have the ability to protect internal organs and improve their performance.

  • Mycotoxin Adsorption & biotransformation

Both high adsorbent mineral clays and yeast extracts rich in gluco-mannans are used to adsorb mycotoxins. Their role is to adsorb mycotoxins efficiently, selectively and quickly, reducing the bio-availability for the organism.

Yeast extracts may support and activate specific biotransformation pathways.

  • Mold Inhibition

In order to eliminate further mold development and consequently potential mycotoxin production, a selected mold inhibitor make Escent® a well-balanced mixture between support, protection and prevention.
